Green Transport in East Africa
Today we can find some 1,3 billion people living in the African Continent, 40% of them live in urban cities, by 2030 this figure will raise to 50% and by the year 2050 as many as 60%. This will create a lot of infrastructural challenges and one of them is transport. So far, most of Africa transportation-related investment has gone to road construction, sometimes railway and many times investment and constructions by Chinese, but how about sustainable quality public transport, especially from Sweden? SWEACC Green City upcoming cluster meeting will focus on Green Transport in Africa. The Swedish bus and truck manufacturer Scania will come and present projects and their point of view on Green Transport in Africa. All business also needs to be financed we have invited Kommuninvest in Sweden to come and present their new Green Bonds that can help finance sustainable infrastructure projects in Africa. Kommuninvest is owned and governed by the members of the Kommuninvest Cooperative Society. Whenever the local government sector needs steady access to capital, Kommuninvest enables investments that benefit society. Come and listen to this new option to help your Company finance a project in Africa.
