The Uganda–EU Business Forum 2026 is the flagship business event of the European Union Delegation (EUD) to Uganda, implemented through the EU Uganda Business Hub under the EU Global Gateway Strategy, and co-organised by the European Union and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development of Uganda.
The Forum will bring together European and Ugandan companies, investors, financial institutions, development partners and public authorities to accelerate investments in Uganda's renewable energy sector, with a particular focus on hydropower, geothermal and wind energy.
The Forum aims to:
Showcase Uganda's pipeline of renewable energy investment opportunities.
Facilitate B2B, B2G and B2F meetings to generate concrete partnerships and investment projects.
Connect companies with government institutions, project developers and financing partners.
Promote technology transfer, market access and sustainable EU–Uganda business cooperation.
The two-day programme will combine high-level plenary sessions, thematic panel discussions, targeted matchmaking meetings, an exhibition area, investment pitching sessions and networking opportunities. To maximise business outcomes, the Forum will be preceded by a series of sector-specific webinars and preparatory activities, ensuring that participants arrive with qualified contacts and concrete business opportunities already identified.
